What is a Pediatric Dentist?

The dental equivalent to a pediatrician is a pediatric dentist. Pediatric Dentists provide specialized care for infants, children and teenagers.

A pediatric dental degree requires an additional two years of study following completion of a four-year dental degree.

This special training allows the pediatric dentist to provide the most up-to-date treatment for a wide variety of children’s dental problems.

Pediatric dentists are also trained to treat special people who have emotional, physical or mental handicaps. In addition, we train continuously to maintain state-of-the-art quality by attending numerous continuing education courses yearly.
